NOTICE OF TEMPORARY OFFICE CLOSER DUE TO COVID-19 until April 22, 2020

To support national efforts to fight the COVID- 19 pandemic, our practice is taking the following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community:

  • We are following directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ADA, and the governor of Texas to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus. Dentistry is one of the highest risk professions of exposure due to our proximity with the mouth and saliva.  The state of Texas has closed medical and dental offices except for life threatening care until April 22, 2020.
  • Your health, and the health of our dedicated staff, matters to us, so going forward we are temporarily suspending all non-emergency care and care that requires aerosols of water to be sprayed in the mouth. This greatly limits what types of services we can provide at this time.

We will contact you soon to reschedule routine appointments. If you are already scheduled for an urgent issue, we will contact you before your appointment to discuss your health status, health screening protocols and confirm whether the appointment should be kept. Of course, please call us if you have a dental pain emergency.

As a reminder, if you are experiencing flu like symptoms or a cough, have traveled out of the country or domestically recently, or have knowingly been exposed to someone with the virus, please self-isolate and call your doctor for further instructions.

Even if none of these relate to you specifically, please practice good hand hygiene, cover your cough or sneeze, stay home and, if you must go out, practice social distancing.  Together we can all slow the spread of this virus!

The safety and well-being of our patients continues to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up to date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual.

I urge you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone at (214) 363-4414 or by email to info@gmz.9a5.myftpupload.com and will respond as soon as we can.

Dr. Poteet will be posting video updates and useful information on our social media channels.

Blessings to you and your families,
